Registration FAQ
- If your daughter is Squirt division or older (age 10 as of Jan 1, 2009) you will need her Softball BC number. Please contact your Manager from last year for this number.
- If you are first-year Squirt this season and don't have a number yet, the system will charge you the fee and your Manager will give you the number once the season starts.
- The fees on Page 2 of the registration form are calculated based on the information you submitted on Page 1. They can not be edited. If you don't think the fees are correct, go back to Page 1 and make sure you've entered all of the information correctly.
- If you are a Rep player, make sure you indicate this in the Team Forming section of Page 1. If you are expecting a Rep tryout credit, it will be applied if the player's full name matches our records from the tryouts, so make sure it's correct.
Thanks again for your patience during the upgrade of our online registration system. Have a great softball season!
2009 Bantam B Provincials
The NVGSA is excited to announce that Softball BC has selected us to host the 2009 Bantam B Provincial Championships at McCartney Park on July 10-12, 2009!
Some of you may remember the fun and excitement of the Bantam A provincials we hosted in 2004. This is a great opportunity for our Rep program and our association to showcase how competitive our teams are and how professionally we can host a provincial event. We will have two Bantam B Rep teams in this tournament, the 93 Stars coached by Dan Jenni and the 94 Stars coached by Peter Powell.
The tournament organizing committee is being led by Mike Brown (604-258-8098, 2009provincials@nvgsa.com). They are actively looking for volunteers to help organize and run the provincials and for sponsors who would be able to provide goods, services and/or financial support to make this tournament a success.
Goods and Services
Here is a list of some of the goods and services the organizing committee needs donated or paid for:

Sponsorship
Businesses have an opportunity to sponsor this tournament in a number of ways. In addition to different levels of Tournament Sponsorship, there is an affordable Game Sponsorship program where you can sponsor individual tournament games. Sponsors are given one or more of the following benefits (depending on level of sponsorship):
- Regular season McCartney Park banner (title sponsor only)
- Tournament advertising (title sponsor only)
- McCartney Park tournament banner
- Tournament program (full, 1/2 or 1/4 page)
- Web site (banner or rotating ad)
- Live PA announcements (during tournament)
Contact the tournament organizing committee at 2009provincials@nvgsa.com if you are interested in sponsorship.
Please consider whether you are able to support this amazing opportunity for the NVGSA. There are places on Page 2 of the online registration form this year where you can show your support by volunteering and/or sponsoring the Bantam B provincials. Or contact Mike Brown directly at 604-258-8098 or 2009provincials@nvgsa.com with your offer of help.
Be sure to come out to McCartney Park on July 10-12 to watch some great softball and cheer on our Stars!
West Van Merger
The Special General Meeting was held on January 29, 2009 and the Special Resolution to merge with the West Vancouver Girls Softball Association was passed.
We are now waiting for West Van in order to move on to the next step in the process, submitting the paperwork to the province. Once we have completed the process we will be known as the North Shore Girls Fastpitch Association encompassing the entire North Shore from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay.
We have started holding joint executive meetings in order to work more closely with West Van and ensure we have all of the bases covered when the merger is complete.
