If your daughter was Squirt age (10 years) last season, she would have received a Softball BC Lifetime Membership number.  To avoid being charged another fee for this, make sure you have this number when you register.  If you do not know your Softball BC number, contact the VP Junior at vpjunior@nsfastpitch.ca to request it (please provide your daughter's full name and birthdate).

Coordinators Needed

NS Fastpitch needs volunteers to fill the vital role of Coordinator for several divisions:  Blastball, Mini Mite, Pee Wee, and Rep.

Division Coordinators are active during the season and in the months leading up to the start of play.  Their most important jobs include team forming prior to league play, and communications during the season.  Coordinators are expected to attend monthly Executive meetings starting February, and training and guidance are provided by the VP Senior and VP Junior.

Coordinator duties

• Team forming (Feb-Mar);
• Email and phone communications with coaches and managers (Mar-Jun);
• Assisting the VP Senior and VP Junior with criminal record checks, Softball BC forms, etc.
  

If you are able to help in one of these important roles, please check the "Division Coordinator" box in the Volunteering section of your Registration Form (Step 2).  We need Division Coordinators for Blastball, Mini Mite, Pee Wee, and Rep.

We would very much appreciate everyone forwarding this email to at least one person on the North Shore that might be interested in playing softball with NS Fastpitch.

We are working hard to raise the visibility of our sport and our association in the community through both grass roots (word of mouth, schools) and traditional (ads) methods, and we need your help.  If every one of our 750+ members makes the effort to talk to one person who is new to the sport, our association will become bigger, healthier and more competitive, and this will make our sport better.

Executive Positions

We are looking for volunteers to fill two key executive positions: Registrar and Tournament Director.

Registrar duties

• Administer the online registration system, including payments and refunds;
• Answer registration questions via email;
• Provide division Coordinators with team forming data;
  
• Produce and email tax receipts.
  

Tournament Director duties

• Plan various NS Fastpitch tournaments for both house and rep leagues (league playdowns, district playdowns, end of season, and invitational);
• Coordinate and schedule the tournaments;
• Answer tournament questions via email;
  
• Participate on tournament Protest Committees.
