The NVGSA is pleased to welcome the best Bantam B girls softball teams in British Columbia to the North Shore for the Softball BC 2009 Girls Bantam B Provincial Championships from July 10-12 in North Vancouver.

The tournament will be held at McCartney Park, with games also played at Lynn Valley Park. Welcome from Softball BC

Welcome to the 2009 Girls Bantam B Provincials!

Softball BC and the NVGSA are happy to bring young women together from all over British Columbia for a weekend of fun-filled, competitive softball. Many of you have travelled some distance to come here, and at this time I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate all the teams that advanced from their districts to be able to attend the 2009 Softball Provincials. I am looking forward to seeing all the teams play and eager to see some great softball games.

I would like to thank the North Vancouver Girls Softball Association for hosting this prestigious tournament in beautiful McCartney Park on the North Shore. I also want to give a special thanks to the Stars 93 and Stars 94 parents who helped out in the organizing and implementation of the Bantam B Provincials, and a special thank-you to Michael Brown who took on the mantle of Tournament Director.

I am looking forward to a fun filled exciting 3 days of softball, and I wish all teams the best of luck. To all of you, thank you for being here, welcome, and enjoy the tournament!

T-Shirt & Team Breakfast Order Deadline Is July 1

Teams need to email michael.brown@telus.net by July 1 with their orders for tournament t-shirts and team breakfasts. The T-Shirt Order Form can be downloaded below, and the t-shirt design is shown here (click for a larger view).

Team Registration Deadline Is June 30

Teams attending the Provincials need to email their information to the Organizing Committee to ensure they receive important information before and during the tournament and also to be included in the tournament program. Please email the following information to michael.brown@telus.net:

• Full names, cell phone numbers & email addresses for all coaches & the manager;
• Full names, jersey numbers & positions for all players;
• Team name, association & Softball BC district;
• A digital team photo (JPG or PNG format, minimum 1024x768 pixels).

NOTE: Cell phone numbers are critical for communications during the tournament

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for people to help with the following key jobs:

• field prep between games (dragging, raking, lining)
  
• scorekeeping (training will be provided)
  
• parking & traffic control
• park cleanup & recycling
  

Please take some time to check your calendars to see if you might be able to donate a couple of hours of your time to help us out. Your children are welcome to help out as well.  All volunteers who do a minimum 4 hour shift will receive a concession voucher as a thank you for your help!
